Running is the easiest form of exercise. All you need is a pair of trainers and you can then head out of the door. So why do we make it so hard for ourselves?
I hear so many people say that they can’t run and don’t know where to start. I always point them in the direction of the NHS Couch to 5k plan and hey presto they can run. What tends to happen next is that they lose momentum because they don’t know what to do next. It often turns into doing the same run over and over again until they get bored and lose interest or ends up in frustration at the lack of progress. There are hundreds of plans online but they can be overcomplicated and require you to run numerous times each week.
My Run Series is designed to give you some simple ways to work on your speed, endurance and distance. There will be a number of different sessions in the 4 instalments so you can pick and mix. You can do them all on a treadmill or outside or a combination of the two. I use them all regularly and it helps to keep running interesting. What you will get is variety and you will see improvements in your running too.
