Summer Training – dates, training, opportunities and more….

It is only a few weeks until the summer so I am taking the opportunity to give you all the important dates and details of the sessions you can get involved in. With Outdoor Bootcamps, Paired sessions, Open Water Swimming, Walking and Massage there should be something for everyone! I can’t quite believe that we are almost half way through the year. This is the perfect time to start making plans for the rest of year and making sure you achieve everything that you set out to do at the start of 2016. Enjoy and please share as always x

Holiday Dates

I am on holiday from Friday 1st July – Sunday 10th July inclusive and again from Monday 18th – Thursday 21st July. There will not be any sessions running during these times.

I would ask that you all let me know when you are away over the summer and we can then schedule your sessions across the next few months. That way you will ensure that you are not missing your training for too long and I can then see where I have gaps.

There is more flexibility over the summer and we will be able to slot in sessions during the day. I can offer some childcare over the summer as Sophie is around (aged 17) and willing to offer some entertainment in return for a small cost. 

Why not get your holiday off to a great start and relax with a Swedish Massage? It is a great way to unwind and release all of the tension before heading off on your holiday. Massages booked for June and July are £25 for a 45 minute massage or £35 for 60 minutes. Massage makes a real difference to how you feel and how you move – bookings now being taken…..

Take control of sugar and reclaim your energy’

The first plans are underway and going well.

The Facebook Group has been busy with photos of food and lots of questions flying backwards and forwards. They have been feeling the effects of coming off the sugar with cravings and excessive hunger but are sticking at it and doing really well. It goes to show how much sugar we eat that we don’t even think about. Once you cut it out and start planning and cooking your own meals it is incredible to see how quickly your body responds. If you think that you are going to be struggling to find things to eat and to feel deprived then think again. Following the step by step plan and the support from the group make it much easier and you won’t look back. To find out more or to sign up for the plan follow the link below. Outdoor Bootcamp

 

If you have seen the photos on Facebook you will have seen the growing numbers of Bootcampers! Our luck with the weather ran out last week as you can see in the photo. The next session is Saturday 11th June and then 25th June and 16th July. We meet at Stewarton Sports Centre Car Park at 8-9am and each session is £5. All abilities are welcome – you work at your own pace and there are variations on all exercises for knees, backs, shoulders so we can work around sore bits!! You can’t beat being out first thing in the morning and it really sets you up for the weekend. Come and join us x
August 1-5 Bootcamp 
From 1-5 August @ 6.30-7.15am I am running the 2016 Summer Bootcamp. The cost is £20 for the week payable upfront and places are strictly limited to 20. Bookings are now being taken so you need to be quick. There is the option to just do the first 30 minutes if you need to get back and ready for work – I will build the session so that there is a natural break at that point. Snatch some time for yourself before work or looking after the kids – you will feel great!

Sunday 19th June 11am Loch Lomond – Beginners Open Water Swim £10. 
Here is your chance to come along and have a go – swim as much or as little as you like. Chris from Swim4miles will be on hand with advice and tips and there will be the chance to sign up for more sessions with her if you would like to do so. We will finish with Coffee and Cakes to warm us up!

Saturday 25th June 8-9am Outdoor Bootcamp

Saturday 25th June 8pm Glasgow Night Ribbonwalk
A number of us are taking part in the walk to raise money for Breast Cancer. We set off from the SECC at 8pm and are walking 20 miles. There are still spaces left if you want to join us or it would be great to have some sponsorship instead…

Tuesday August 23rd Return date for 55+ class and for Tuesday Group sessions.
I have a space for 6-7pm session from August – cost is £25 per month paid by standing order.

55+ Summer Sessions
We will be back in Dunlop Church Hall on Tuesday 23rd August at 1.30pm. Over the summer I am running sessions for 2s and 3s on Tuesday afternoons. The cost is £7 per session payable in advance. There are a few spaces left as detailed below – please contact me if you would like to book any of them. They will be at my house – you will see the address below.

Tues 14/06 @ 1-2pm
Tues 12/07 @ 1-2pm
Tues 02/08 @ 12-1 and 1-2pm

I also have a vacancy for a weekly paired daytime session with an existing lady client. We can be flexible with the day and time and sessions cost £12 per person to be paid in blocks of 4. Let me know if you are interested as this is a regular session and I am keen to fill the space.
