How do you feel about change? Back to work, a new term and everything is different…….

Do you like change?…

That is always a tricky question to answer. I know lots of people that get really stressed and more than a bit panicky just thinking about things changing. I like to know what is what but certainly over the past few years have learned to see it as an opportunity rather than an ordeal to face. My blog looks more closely at how we can rise to the challenge and seize new opportunities. I would love you to share this with your contacts using the link below.

I liked the following quotation from Rowan Coleman’s ‘The Memory Book’ and I think that it sums up where I am right now.
‘Being a mother is about protecting your children from every conceivable thing that might cause them hurt, but it’s also about trusting them to live the best way for them, the best way they can, and trust that even when you are not there to hold their hand that they can succeed’
I’ll leave you with the thought that change can be unsettling and challenging but it also gives you a new opportunity. It is about growing and developing and doing things differently and maybe even trying things you never even dreamed of. It doesn’t have to be huge or life changing but it is good to step out of your comfort zone once in a while.

I encourage my girls to go and follow their dreams and will do all I can to support them. It is their adventure though – I just need to find a way not to show exactly what I am thinking on my face!! I have always felt supported and loved by my parents and hope I am doing the same for my family. Perhaps that is the most important thing about change – if you are facing change from a positive place then it is much easier to embrace it as an opportunity and to take a chance.

So whatever it is that you are facing get your support team in place and seize the opportunity! I would love to hear your stories and comments. I am more than happy to help if you need a hand to get started!
Take care
