We are definitely heading towards winter with all the autumn colours and fewer daylight hours. It will soon be Christmas and you can find my holiday details below as well as arrangements for sessions over the festive period. There is the chance to take advantage of a special offer to treat someone to a Gift Voucher for a massage or a Fitness Package. You can find all the details as well as the latest news, offers and dates for your diary.
My goodness it is that time already??!! As always I am doing a special offer for Christmas vouchers. There are 2 offers that you can choice from – for fitness and for massage – or there is an extra bonus deal if you do both!
- If you have been looking to get fitter and need some help to get started or a push to work a bit harder then why not ask for a voucher for Christmas? Maybe you know someone who would really benefit but won’t make the investment in themselves. You can buy a block of 4 sessions for only £99 valid until 31st May 2018. You will receive a printed gift certificate which can be personalised too.
- What about taking it easy and needing to slow down and relax? Maybe you or someone you know has problems with tension in shoulders or the neck. Perhaps it is lower back or tight hips. A course of Swedish or Sports massage can make a real difference in relieving the tension and how you feel too. For £99 you can have a voucher for 4 x 45 minute massages valid until 31st May 2018. You will receive a printed gift certificate which can be personalised too.
If it is too tricky to chose which offer to take then why not do both and receive an additional £20 discount from the total cost. This discount will also apply if you buy 2 of the same offer. Limited to a maximum of 2 vouchers per person. Offer valid until December 3rd 2017. Please call Clare on 07814 788408 or by email here.
Santa Dash & Christmas Brunch
Once again we will be doing the Glasgow Santa Dash which this year is at 10am on Sunday 10th December. We will then have brunch afterwards. This has become a great tradition and it wouldn’t feel like Christmas without the Santa Dash. It is 5k but there are thousands taking part with lots of children, pushchairs and dogs too. If you just want to soak up the atmosphere and get in some extra steps then why not join us? There are no timing chips or results just a fun run with an amazing atmosphere.
100k walk for British Heart Foundation – my next crazy challenge!
You may have seen the post on fit4evermore Facebook page about the Glasgow to Edinburgh walk that I have signed up to do on 21/22 July 2018. It is in aid of the British Heart Foundation to raise funds for the vital work they do in tackling heart disease. I am excited about the challenge and completing it with Katrina. We will be looking for sponsorship for the challenge and I will set up a Justgiving page in January to get our fundraising underway.
That is my challenge sorted so what are you planning to do in 2018? Why not find an event that would stretch you and take you to the next level? Remember it should be something that is a little scary and that excites you too. I would love to hear what you decide to do. Sharing is a great way of making a commitment!!!
Many of you are aware that I am at last writing a book that pulls together my own experience and that of everyone that I have worked with over the last 7 years. Getting fit and being healthy are great goals to have but how do you achieve it with all the work and family pressures and the guilt of taking time for yourself?
‘Moving More’ will give you a blueprint to follow and lots of tips and advice from people who have already made the transition. There are stories, recipes, tips on getting organised, cheat sheets, workouts and race reports too. No more guessing what to do and what will work. Instead you will be able to follow the plan with confidence and dip in and out as you need to. Whether you need the basics or are looking for a way to take your fitness up a level then this is for you.
I now have 95% of the book in the template. This week will see the remaining recipes and workouts uploaded. I then need to write the chapter summaries and checklists and organise the photographs. From there it is all about marketing and cover design.
My plan is to have the pdf version ready to go out to all of you that contributed to the book by the end of December and then general release as an e-book and printed copy early in 2018. It is terrifyingly exciting to be this close……..
It has been a hectic couple of months and I have been thrilled to welcome a number of new Massage and Personal Training clients. What is even better is that they have all come through referral from existing clients so thank you all for your recommendations. Each client that I work with has very different needs in terms of goals, past injuries, weaknesses and levels of confidence. I love the challenge of creating an individual program and seeing them progress and achieve their goals. Contrary to common perception there is so much more to Personal Training than burpees and me shouting!!
I would love you to share your experience of working with me by leaving a review on my fit4evermore Facebook page or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. As a small business I rely on recommendations and reviews to build my business. Thank you to all of you who have told your friends about fit4evermore x
You need to book your November/December sessions now as my diary is filling fast. I finish for Christmas at 2pm on Thursday 21st December. I plan to work Thursday 28th, Friday 29th December and Friday 5th January on a first come first served basis. Normal timetable will resume on Monday 8th January.
Swimming Stroke Analysis
If any of you would be interested in getting some expert help with your swimming then Chris Sifleet from Swim4miles offers 121 or paired sessions. I have had a couple of lessons with Chris and made huge progress putting her advice into practice. Sometimes an expert pair of eyes can cut out hours of trial and error. You can contact Chris through the Swim4miles Facebook page.
