Welcome to the fit4evermore September newsletter. It hardly seems possible that the summer is over and we are rapidly heading towards Christmas. What that does mean for many is that there is a summer of indulgence to work off before donning the little black dress for the Christmas celebrations. Read on to find out what is on offer to help you in the months to come.
New T shirt order
Here is your chance to update your fit4evermore t shirt or to treat yourself to new training kit. Following feedback I have decided to go back to the Gildan Performance soft feel t shirts which many of you had in black with the purple fit4evermore logo.
You can choose Black with Purple logo or Purple with White logo.
Sizes are on the small side – S = 8/10 M = 10/12 L = 12/14 XL = 14/16 XXL = 18/20
The cost is £15 per t shirt.
I will be making an order on Friday 8th September so please email firstname.lastname@example.org to place your order. There is also the option to have a black t shirt with the green apple logo for Take Control of Sugar if you would prefer.
What is your Biggest Challenge?
What do you need help with? Do you have a burning question about exercise or fitness? What would you like to see more of?
Here is your chance to have an input into fit4evermore for the next few months. I work hard to keep my blogs, posts, newsletters and services relevant to your needs. I am sure however that there are things that I am missing. Please drop me an email or text and I will do my best to accommodate your requests.
It really does help if you do comment and like my posts and blogs both on my website and on Facebook. The more interaction there is the more people will see what I post. I would really appreciate you liking, commenting and sharing. Your feedback lets me see what is most useful to you all and makes sure that I am getting it right for you.
This made me smile
‘Clare hurt me in places that I never knew existed!! After thinking, at 46, that I could just go out and run a 10k, I soon learned that there was more to it than meets the eye. After damaging my knees, Clare got to work on them and soon had me feeling great again!! Thank you Clare – not only did you sort me out, but it was interesting listening to what I had done to hurt them and also how to avoid doing it all over again. Your explanation of it all made perfect sense. I thoroughly enjoyed the chat throughout also!!!! You’re a star.’ G. Swan
It is now 3 years since I started offering Massage Therapy and I now have a growing number of regular clients. Many start with a massage to deal with a sore back, tight hamstrings or painful neck and end up subscribing to my ‘Prehab Plan.’ A monthly massage is a great investment in keeping yourself moving and niggle free. As we get older we get stiffer and the exercise that we do takes its toll on our bodies. A regular massage will relieve this each month and stop the excess tension building into something more sinister. For many this is an ‘insurance policy’ which means that they are able to continue doing the things that they enjoy.
If you would like to know more please click here or call 07814 788408 to book your first treatment. The Prehab plan gives you a 60 minute massage each month for only £30 (saving £10 each month.)
Mission ‘Little Black Dress’
Here is your chance to kickstart your mission to look and feel great by the time you get to December. It can be hard to find the time to exercise and to know where to start. Class times don’t always work for you and it is fatal if you have to motivate yourself to go out once you have come home and sat down!
I have created a plan that you can do at home at a time that suits you and it only costs £9.99p. ‘FitPack 1’ gives you a Circuit, a Tabata session, an Interval workout, a Challenge and a Foam Roller sequence to stretch you out. You have videos for the first 2 elements so do it with me with no equipment required other than a step or stair. No more struggling to know what to do or working from a list that doesn’t make sense. It works and is great value for a plan written by an experienced Personal Trainer. You can buy yours here.
You will all have seen the fit4evermore Challenge Series over the past few months. We did Burpees in May, Skipped in June, had ‘Going the Distance’ in July, the Core Challenge in August and for September we are doing a ‘Stretch & Strengthen Flow.’
Over 12 months I will create 12 different 15 day challenges for you to complete at home that will boost an element of your overall fitness. The challenges are free for that month and available until we start the next one. At the end of the year I will publish the Challenge Series as a whole plan that can be purchased.
Make sure that you have signed up to get the monthly Challenges. You aren’t committing to do them there and then – you can keep them and do them at a time that suits you. I would love to hear how you get on.
You will have seen that we took part in the Great Scottish Swim in Loch Lomond and completed a mile. It all went well and I even came out smiling. My focus for September is very firmly on running. I am continuing to work through the ‘Non Runners Marathon Running Plan’. I have to say that finding the time for 4 runs each week of ever increasing distances is a challenge. Still this week involved a total of 26 miles and I did it so all good. I am now moving on to week 8 and a total of 28 miles.
My next event is the ‘Memory Walk’ in South Shields on 7th October. I am walking the 7k with Mum and my 3 daughters which will be amazing.
I would love to hear what you have planned and your comments on this months topics. Don’t forget to send through your questions and to share, comment and like posts wherever you can!
